I asked a friend of Doug's to, 'Tell me About servicexcel', and he told me “Doug just wanted a heat pump / refrigeration service business ... and he wanted to provide excellent service! Today the majority of the business servicexcel gets is from customer referrals. Doug has always given the excellent service that he wanted to provide. People who have dealt with him know that and they freely refer Doug to their friends. Doug has always given fair and reasonable prices and has stood for his word. A person's word being their bond today is not a common thing. But it is with Doug Pope! That is just how he and his dad did business - there were no compromises. How did all that come about? For about 30 years, Jeff Pope (Doug's Dad) and he wanted to do good work. They 'excelled' at being able to find the real problems that existed in someone's heat pump or refrigeration system and repair it so that it didn't just break down with the same problem again. They were known for their superior work ... There was no such thing as ... they couldn't find the problem and repair it. Their reputation for superior quality work grew ... and Doug was a part of building it. They didn't just have a business ... they were the solution to the many problems people had with their heat pumps and air conditioning equipment. And if that equipment needed to be replaced, it was replaced with quality equipment and a superior installation! I don't know how that fits with what you want Paul. Perhaps you might want to ask Doug the question to answer himself. I'm sure he'd be more modest ... but what I told you is common knowledge from all who know Doug today and who knew his dad.” |
